*Competition Terms and Conditions 

The US Draw is void where prohibited or restricted by law. 

How to enter - No purchase is necessary to enter or win. To enter, eligible participants must complete the entry form on the promotion landing page and answer the three subject-matter questions. Only entrants who answer all three questions correctly and satisfy the eligibility requirements will be entered into the relevant random draw. Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate, incomplete, automated, fraudulent, or ineligible entries may be disqualified. 

Opening and closing dates - The promotion opens on 20th July 2026. Entries close at 23.59pm on 18th September 2026. For the UK Draw, the closing time is UK time. For the US Draw, the closing time is Eastern Time. Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted. 

Prizes - There are 5 prizes available in the UK Draw and 10 prizes available in the US Draw. Each prize consists of one hoof paring kit comprising: one Jim Blurton loop knife; and one Paul Mitchell knife sharpener. The approximate retail value of each prize is £180 / approximately US$210. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged or substituted by the winner. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter’s reasonable control. 

Professional-use and age restriction - The prize includes a hoof-care tool with a blade, specifically a loop knife designed for hoof paring, together with a knife sharpener. It is provided as a professional hoof-care/equine-use kit and is not offered as a general-purpose knife or personal item. By entering, entrants confirm that they are aged 18 or over and that, if selected as a winner, they will use the prize only for lawful professional hoof-care, veterinary, farriery, or equine clinical purposes. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize and select an alternative winner if it is not reasonably satisfied that the selected winner is eligible to receive the prize. 

Winner selection - The UK Draw and US Draw will be conducted separately. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries with correct answers received for the relevant draw. The draws will take place no later than 21st September 2026. The random draw will be conducted using a verifiably random process or under independent supervision. The Promoter’s decision on eligibility, correct answers, winner selection, and prize allocation is final. No correspondence will be entered into except where required by law. 

Winner notification and prize - Winners will be notified using the contact details supplied at entry within 7 days of the draw. Winners must respond within 14 days of notification and provide any information reasonably required to verify eligibility and arrange delivery. If a winner does not respond within the stated period, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or cannot accept the prize for any reason, the Promoter may select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible correct entries. 

Delivery - Prizes will be delivered to the address provided by each confirmed winner. The Promoter is not responsible for failed delivery where a winner provides incorrect, incomplete, or outdated delivery information. The Promoter may use a signature-required, tracked, or age-verification delivery service where appropriate. 

Taxes and costs - The Promoter will cover the reasonable cost of standard delivery of the prize. Any taxes, duties, import charges, professional reporting obligations, or other costs associated with accepting or using the prize are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise required by law. US winners are responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes arising from acceptance of the prize. 

Winner announcement - The Promoter intends to announce the winners on its website after the draw has taken place. Winner information may include the winner’s name, professional role, practice or organisation name, and county/state, unless the winner objects or requests that the amount of information published is reduced. The Promoter may still be required to provide winner information to regulators or other lawful requesters where required by applicable law or advertising rules. 

Marketing and data protection - Personal data supplied in connection with the promotion will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact winners, deliver prizes, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations. Entrants may be given the option to opt in to receive marketing communications from the Promoter. Entry into the promotion is not conditional on agreeing to receive marketing communications. Entrants who opt in to marketing may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in the relevant communication. Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at  https://hallmarq.net/privacy-policy/ 

Disqualification - The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, automated, submitted in breach of these terms, or otherwise inconsistent with the fair administration of the promotion. The Promoter may also disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, acts dishonestly, abuses the promotion, or behaves in a way that could damage the Promoter’s reputation or the proper administration of the promotion. 

Limitation of liability - So far as permitted by law, the Promoter will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the promotion or accepting or using a prize. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. 

Changes, suspension, or cancellation - The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the promotion where necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, including fraud, technical failure, legal or regulatory issues, supply issues, or any event that affects the fair or proper administration of the promotion. 

Governing law - The UK Draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. The US Draw is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations in the United States and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
